Kindergarten
Our kindergarteners have been working hard! They’ve participated in digital citizenship lessons, covering topics such as Sites I Like, Saying Goodbye to Technology, and Safety in My Online Neighborhood.
With iPads, students have worked on math with Dreambox, reading with Amplify, and had fun with PBS Kids!
Third Grade
The digital citizenship lessons third graders have done include Online Identity, The Power of Words, and Password Powerup. Third graders have made amazing progress in their typing program, with two students having completed all of the lessons; there are over 1,000 of those!
Students have also learned about research and creating a project in PowerPoint. After spring break, they’ll have their own time to code with the Dash robots.
Fifth Grade
Fifth graders completed some more challenging digital citizenship lessons, including Identifying Clickbait, Cyberbullying, and Reading News Online. Students have also worked throughout the year on their typing program, as well as researching and creating online products, such as PowerPoints.
Robotics Club
For the first time this year, fifteen students in third, fourth, and fifth grades had the opportunity to participate in a robotics club! Starting in November and ending with the district competition in May, students have built robots, programmed them, driven them to complete tasks, and built their own competition course.
